Pooch Playoffs Sponsor Spotlight: Paddy Paws

THANK YOU FOR donating prizes for the event, your support is greatly appreciated!

Tell us a little about your business! What do you do, and what makes your business unique?

Paddy Paws has been in business for over 30 years. My aunt, Lynn LaVigne, who owns Paddy Paws has been a groomer for over 40+ years. I [Donna Baldwin] have been grooming for 10 years. What makes us unique is the experience in grooming we have, we groom and care for the dogs to match their unique personalities. Not every dog is the same. We groom mainly small dogs. We also offer to clip nails without an appointment. It takes a special person to groom dogs. For some, dogs don’t sit still, some bark, some bite, some jump around, and lastly they don’t tell you when they need to use the bathroom. So we are always cleaning up after them. You have to be very patient and calm.

What inspired you to support Pooch Playoffs and Fur Eternity Rescue?

We love to try to support local animal functions or programs. For we are for sure animal lovers of all kinds!!!

Do you have any pets of your own? We’d love to hear about them!

My Aunt Lynn has a Chow-Chow named Stosh and 3 cats. I have 3 Shituz’s: Oreo, Bear, and Tifi. I also have 4 cats.

A small fluffy white and tan dog lies comfortably on a gray pet bed with carpet and wire crate visible in background.
A fluffy Chow Chow dog wearing a blue collar sits in the snow with pine trees in the background.
Three small black dogs sleeping together in a cozy grey and white pet bed near a wire fence in the garden.
A Chow Chow dog wearing a patriotic red, white and blue star-patterned collar sits outside an RV at a campground.

What’s one thing you’d like people to know about you or your business?

One thing we’d like to let our customers know is we treat the dogs as if they were our own. We also make sure that if there is anything different and something going on with their pet, we let them know. We also try to accommodate all the different personalities and temperaments of the dogs.
